Dancing is our way of loving life!
We are Borja Alkalde Sainz & Christina Gomez, Argentine Tango dancers and teachers for 12 years and the directors of two tango schools in Bizkaia: the Querido Tango Urduliz Dance School in Uribe Kosta and the Querido Tango Bilbao School in Deusto.
We are one of the few Argentine tango teachers in the Basque Country with international experience.
We have taught tango at festivals and events throughout Europe and in 2019 we were runners-up in the stage tango category at the European Championship in Munster, Germany, and came fourth in the European Championship in London (officially part of the preliminaries for the World Championship in Buenos Aires).
We organise weekly tango classes in Bilbao, milongas on Fridays and Saturdays in Bilbao, and we bring 500 people from all over the world to dance tango in the magnificent Palacio Oriol in Santurce in February for our great Bilbao Tango Festival.
Querido Tango is more than just a place to learn and dance Argentine tango. It is a community of the friendliest people you will meet in Bilbao! We take our work very seriously, but we also take great care to create a sincere, friendly and welcoming community!

Argentine tango social events organized by Bilbao's largest and friendliest tango school!
Bilbao Tango Festival & Cup
One of the largest festivals in northern Spain. 500 people gather in the spectacular Oriol Palace to celebrate Valentine's Day! A week of non-stop dancing, from Monday to Sunday, with a great orchestra in the evening, classes and exhibitions with guest maestros, and in the next edition in 2026, Spain's first international championship: with dance floor, stage, waltz, milonga, and milonguero categories. Extra activities: tango equipment with live musicians at venues in Santurce and Bilbao, tango films and documentaries, talks, free introductory classes, and more!
Festivalito Querido Tango
An intimate, family-friendly tango festival and marathon, held every September! A long weekend of non-stop dancing, with two milongas a day, classes, a pintxos tour and a Sunday lunch, from Thursday to Sunday, dancing by day in the open air in the garden of the old Txiberri ball court, and by night in our festive studio next door in Urduliz, Uribe Kosta. A weekend spent with friends, sunshine, good food and lots and lots of dancing!

Weekly milongas in Bilbao
Our popular milongas bring together people from all over the area to dance tango together.
Every Friday we meet in Deusto for dinner and dancing at the practilonga. A more informal place to practice with tango friends.
Every Saturday afternoon we organize our traditional milonga, sometimes with guest DJs, musicians and dancers.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy this beautiful and different dance.

We are choreographers as well as dancers, and we have worked with over ten couples to make their wedding the most magical day of their lives. With a package of 5 classes, you can have an original and unique wedding dance, whether it's tango, salsa/bachata, a traditional waltz or a mix of different rhythms.
Beginners Classes in Argentine Tango
We have well-structured introductory tango courses with a group of highly engaged and friendly students! In just one semester, you'll have learned the basics of tango and can progress to the next level. Beginners classes are available every day, Monday through Saturday, in Deusto, Bilbao and in Sopelana, Uribe Kosta
Intermediate Argentine Tango Classes
These classes will be perfect for you if you've been dancing for a few years and want to continue improving your performance. We'll continue working on useful dance floor sequences, combined with an in-depth review of biomechanics, dance technique, and musicality. Available Monday through Saturday in Deusto and Urduliz.

Zumba Fit & Entrena HIIT
Zumba and Functional Training in Urduliz
A combination of three elements: Zumba, functional training, and stretching. Perfect if you live in the Uribe Kosta area and are looking for a nearby place to move your body with joy, get in shape, and relieve pain, Zumba Fit classes with Chris in Urduliz are the perfect place!
Zumba Fit & HIIT Training is a complete one hour and fifteen minute class using classic Zumba, typical functional training exercises and maintenance gymnastics, and then yoga-style stretches.
We have morning and afternoon classes available from Tuesday to Saturday. Flexible monthly flat-rate plans (unlimited sessions), two classes per week, or one class per week with flexible scheduling are available. This class guarantees a complete workout session focused on muscle strengthening, flexibility, and cardio to get you in shape and relieve pain.
Salsa & Bachata classes in Urduliz
Discover all the Caribbean rhythms with Irene, Urdulizarra, and Cubana. Salsa, cha-cha-cha, merengue, bachata, rumba, rueda, etc.
