Learn from the greats of Argentine tango in the heart of Bilbao
Everything you need to know about the tango classes that will be given by the teachers at our event which will transform Bilbao into the European epicentre of tango from 9 to 15 February at Bilbao Tango Festival & International Championship 2026.
The festival will feature three pairs of top-level dancers and teachers, each with their own style that encompasses the essence of Argentine tango. Click on the photo of the couple to see a description of their classes.
Fernando Galera & Pamela Colaneri
Teacher of teachers, with a deep focus on technique, musicality and connection, Galera and Colaneri offer clear and experienced instruction. Their classes focus on shared energy, the elegance of the embrace and how to bring this to the dance floor with ease.
Juan Martín Carrara & Stefania Colina
Renowned for their musicality, creativity and style, this Uruguayan-Argentinian couple conquers every stage with their naturalness and authentic connection. Their classes inspire both beginners and professionals looking to improve their expression on the dance floor.
Camila Alegre & Ezequiel López
These world champions arrive from Argentina with a contemporary approach that combines stage presence, beautiful technique and theatricality. They are dancers with great charisma and experience in training and directing international companies. Their choreographic workshop on stage tango is not to be missed.

**For classes with Fer & Pame, Juan & Stefi and Borja & Chris, you can choose a PACK for 1 single class, PACK of 2 classes, 4 classes, 6, 8 or 10 classes. We will send you a message later so you can choose which of the 10 available classes you choose to take.

All classes on Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Sunday 15th February will take place at the Mikel Trueba Kiroldegia sports complex, a 3-minute walk from the Palacio Oriol. Classes with Borja and Chris on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th February will be held at the Palacio Oriol. See locations here.

Choreography workshop with Camila & Ezequiel
A very special workshop with these two world champions. This is Cami & Eze's speciality: stage tango.

In four one-hour classes, you will learn a group Argentine tango choreography with a theme lasting around 1½ minutes.

The group will perform during the afternoon milonga on Sunday 15 February.

No experience in stage tango is necessary, just a desire to learn and be part of the group.
Learning objectives:
✔ You will learn figures and elements more typical of stage tango.
✔ The use of pauses and acceleration.
✔ Body language for stage projection.
✔ You will learn how to synchronise as a group and how to count and enter in time with the music.
*You must sign up as a couple. If you do not have a partner but wish to participate, please write to us and we will see if we can find you a partner for the course.
**If you want to take this course, you must purchase the 4-class choreography workshop pack and be available to perform at the milonga on Sunday afternoon.

We'll study the techniques for doing planeos and crosses and then apply this to a calesita

We'll explore two essential techniques for doing giros that shine on the dancefloor: enrosques and sacadas.

All the classes from Thursday to Sunday will take place at Mikel Trueba Kiroldegia sports complex, 3 mins walk from the Palacio Oriol. The room is well-equipped with a good floor.
All the classes with Borja & Chris on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will take place at Palacio Oriol where all the Festival milongas will take place. The room is well-equipped with a good floor.
