We want live music to play an important role in our festival, to promote Argentine culture in Bilbao and enjoy dancing in the streets.
Tango Show at Serantes Theatre
A spectacular display of Argentine culture at the Serantes Theatre on Saturday, February 14th at 6:30 pm. A Tango Orchestra will perform during the Tango Championship Final. Don't miss this opportunity to see the best Argentine tango dancers from around the world compete in various categories, followed by live music from our chosen tango orchestra, tango dance performances, Basque dances, and more. Live Tango Duo & Milongas in Santurtzi
There will be an opportunity to hear live music out on Santurtzi's streets during Bilbao Tango Festival. Our chosen musicians will play a full set of tangos in Plaza Juan José Mendiazabal in the center of Santurtzi on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th at our free tango gatherings. All the tangos are danceable, so don't forget your dancing shoes – it's a true street milonga! On Thursday 18th, Christina Gómez and Borja Alkalde Sainz will dance, and there will be a DJ to provide the perfect atmosphere for a lively street milonga.
